The highlighting of transit/transience in these prints is both formal and conceptual. The system detail or street hardware that is being layered on each print contains both geographic idiosyncrasies as well as geometric value to the mandala aesthetic in each composition.
Anthropological motivations to record the street patterns on infrastructure across the world mixed with spiritual meditations on Systems Theory, impel me to continue this ongoing series. The street prints are all a series of original one-of-a-kind pieces (1/1) because pulling them on the actual street must be a rather hasty operation and requires many locations to layer up the work. A consistent interaction with people on the street, the authorities and natural weather vicissitudes keep the process interesting and at times very challenging.
