POLYMORPH 4: MUD MAN

In this installment of the Polymorph series, Bonafede enters the Mudman race, designed by military special forces, held in New Jersey in 2012. Unlike others in this Polymorph series, the Mud Man involves many obstacles for the artist to overcome, mostly involving a negotiation of the body around dirt and water. Through the traversing of the course the performer's body metaphorically transforms into the textures surrounding the race. As the performance goes on, Bonafede gets covered more and more in mud and the metamorphosis is complete.
